Calliope Earrings
These disk earrings recall the sun. Dropped delicately below the ear, they frame the face with their diagonal positioning, and shine brilliantly. They are a part of our modern collection, designed by Elena.
According to Greek mythology, Calliope was the Muse who presided over epic poetry and eloquence. Her name derives from the ancient Greek word meaning, "beautiful-voiced." The Roman poet Ovid, in his Metamorphoses, calls her "the greatest of our (poet) singers," the Chief of all Muses (V.662-678).
