Decima Earrings

A classic earring with a twist! This earring recalls models found throughout the ancient Mediterranean. Here, the flat crescent shape is adorned at the top with a strap wrapped around it several times. 

"Decima" is the female patronymic form of  the name Decimus, which is, too, Latin for "tenth." Decima was also revered as a goddess, in ancient Rome. One of the three Fates, Decima was a goddess of childbirth, and she measured the thread of life with her rod.
