Hospitium Ring
Elegant in its simplicity, this stunning ring features an oval cabochon stone situated in a wide, crowning bezel. It is based on a gorgeous example found at a suburban sanctuary outside the Roman town of Pompeii, dating from the fourth to the third century BC.
"Hospitium" (equivalent to the Greek "xenia") is the ancient Greco-Roman concept of hospitality as a divine right of the guest and a divine duty of the host.
