Consider giving the gift of Roman-inspired jewelry, this Valentine's Day!
This beautiful spiral ring is based on a sixth century BC Etruscan example now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City. A large series of small gold spirals have been found in excavations across ancient lands and cultures. Their specific use still eludes us. There are many possibilities, of course! They may have been used for tying back and keeping hair together in the equivalent of our pony tails. Alternatively, these incredible spirals may have also been used to hold clothing together. Whatever their use, gold spirals were undeniably a very special type of adornment, visually, and must have made quite an impact.
We love the spiral shape, and have brought it to you in the form of a ring! Our ring is available in sizes 4 - 10.
"Honestas" means "honor" and "integrity."
