This stately bracelet is inspired by a charismatic example made by the jewelers of the ancient Mediterranean! The Etruscans excelled in jewelry making, and working with gold, in particular, and their gorgeous jewelry could be found throughout the Mediterranean.

Here, our bangle consists of a flat, central ribbed design, framed on either side by sleek and rounded borders; sets of three spheres further ornament the surface. The original bracelet dates to the seventh century BC.

"Pietas" was an extremely important concept, in the Roman world. It was, furthermore, a quality that exemplary Romans should possess. It meant duty, devotion, familial affection, and piety, especially to the gods, and one's family and elders.
